It’s that time of year again when we are putting the finishing touches on our cosplay or are making sure that everything will fit in our suitcases for STLV. While you’re doing that here is a rundown of what to expect this year. We breakdown panels, photo ops, and autographs. Enjoy..
Hello! I’m back! Rumors about my death have been greatly exaggerated. That is not a typo in the episode title, I’m going through and publishing some episodes that I had in the can. Yes, this is my adventure to Dallas Fan Expo back in 2021. I hope you enjoy the episode.
After several months away I have returned. In this episode I address why I’ve been away. And then we talk about the 2nd of 4 Star Trek events this year, Star Trek Mission Chicago. We go over the schedule, talk about the convention hall, McCormick Place, and who the house band is. So just sit back and enjoy while you’re finishing your cosplay or packing for Chicago.
First I know what I said in Episode 34, and I lied. Yes, I did indeed go to The Friday of STLV 2021. It was a different convention this year not only because of Covid. Join me as we talk to Lou from Fansets, The folks at Star Trek Unlimited about the now infamous Tom Paris Plate, we learn about the new offerings from Star Trek Wines, and talk to the creator of the new mobile game Tribble Troubles. We end the first half with a quote from Gene Roddenberry. The second half of the episode we get our yearly interview with Dr. Trek himself, Larry Nemecek at The iBar. Now running iOS 4.7. Enjoy!
This week on the podcast I’m joined by Ixchel Perez and Eric Allan Hall in an interview from August of 2020 were we talk about Cosplay in the Era of Covid. How things have changed, how it has effected them and fellow cospayers, and where they see the future of cosplay in a post Covid world.
September 8, 2018 marked the 52nd anniversary of the debut of Star Trek. To mark that occasion we traveled up to Rose City Comic Con in Portland, Oregon to partake in the festivities as part of Northwest Star Trek Week. Come along and enjoy this adventure as we meet members of our Trek Family up in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy.
As it has become a tradition here with our STLV Coverage, we end 2018 at the World Famous Masquerade Bar. Let me set the stage, it’s just after midnight and The Rat Pack Concert had ended about an hour ago. Many people have come to the Masquerade Bar for one last night of hanging out with their Trek Family before the reality of packing and catching their flight back home starts to set in. I’m wondering around asking people to share their thoughts on the convention. Along the way we had an impromptu concert by some members of the band, Sons of Kirk. One lucky person tries to win a microwave. We have our yearly interview with Dr. Trek, Larry Nemecek. This is how we close out STLV 2018 at The Promenade Podcast. Enjoy.
And as the sun sets on Day 5 of STLV 2018 this is our penultimate episode from this year’s convention. Sunday was a blur for everyone. The last 2 Discovery Cast panels, final purchases in the vendors room, last time hanging out with friends we only see once a year. This episode will make hours seem like minutes. Enjoy!
Day 4 of STLV 2018 became a day that will go down in Trek History for years to come. Patrick Stewart made a surprise appearance to announce the new Picard series coming to CBS All Access.  Hear in real time me processing the information. And after that we run into friends both real and fictional, and even another President at STLV. Enjoy Day 4 of STLV 2018.
Here is our first episode in our coverage of STLV 2018. Now I wasn’t able to attend the first 2 days of the convention, so our coverage starts on Day 3 from an undisclosed location near The Las Vegas Strip. We then move on to The Rio where all the action is. We run into some old friends, and we meet some new ones along with a few surprises. Enjoy.
We return from a few months on personal leave for our STLV 2018 Preview Show. We talk about all the official and unofficial events that are happening at and around STLV. Let us help you plan your STLV.
In September of 2017, Creation had the first Star Trek Convention after STLV at the Westin O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois outside of Chicago. This is also the last ever Star Trek Convention before the premiere of Star Trek Discovery. I was only able to attend for the one day. I interviewed some people who did some very creative cosplay. And then, the moment over a year in the making: The only interview with the band Five Year Mission about their upcoming album, Year 4 and some other topics that came up. I flew out of LAX for this, I hope you enjoy it.                                                              If you would like to follow Five Year Mission:                           Website: FiveYearMission.net                                          Twitter: @5YearMission                                                  Facebook: Five Year Mission
